I acknowledge that gymkhana is a dangerous sport which carries inherent risks of injury and damage to myself, mount and/or property. I acknowledge I am voluntarily participating in this activity involving horses with knowledge of the danger involved and that I am voluntarily participating in events with horses and that they are unpredictable. I assume all risks, known and unknown, of participating in events involving horses and agree to hold harmless the Mudslingers, CGA, Green Acres Ranch and other arena owners.

I release Mudslingers, the CGA, Green Acres Ranch and other arena owners and their officers, board members, club members and volunteers from any and all liability for any act of negligence or want of ordinary care on the part of the organization or any of its agents. In consideration of my participation in events organized/sponsored by Mudslingers, the CGA, Green Acres Ranch and other arena owners in which gymkhana shows are held. I waive, release and discharge Mudslingers, the CGA, Green Acres Ranch and their directors, officers, members, agents, representatives, heirs, executors and assigns as well as arena owners and volunteers from any and all claim of liability for injury, damage to myself, mount or property arising out of my participation. This agreement is binding on my execution, heirs and assigns.

I expressly waive the rights I may have under the California Civil Code 1542 which states "a general release does not extend to claims which the creditor does not know or suspect to exist in his/her favor at the time of executing the release, which if known by him/her, must have materially affected his settlement with the doctor."

I agree that I will defend, indemnify and hold harmless Mudslingers, the CGA, Green Acres Ranch and other arena owners as well as their officers, directors, members and agents against any and all claims, demands and causes of action, including court costs and actual attorney fees, arising from any proceeding (lawsuit) brought by or prosecuted for my benefit, in which this release is upheld.

I acknowledge that I have read this Release of Liability and know and understand its contents, and I the undersigned parent/guardian/chaperone of the minor child (children) in my family as listed above, in consideration of the child's participation in the mount property, arising out of their participation in the event.
